Giving thanks and living a life of gratitude is where my focus has been lately.  What a healing focus. I’m happy for my heart and mind to camp here for a while.

Have you ever noticed that when you are focused on being grateful and giving thanks for what you have and when you are choosing to be content, you don’t fuss and worry about the fact that responsibilities and pressures are swirling around you.  Those things can fade into the background of a life focused on the blessings of today.

It’s a Simple Life or moment depending on how long your focus remains there.
I had the pleasure of spending time in Amish Country last week.  

On the way to meet a friend, I found myself enjoying the sights and surroundings so much that I actually did what a lot of people do when they come to this special place.  I stopped my car, grabbed my camera, and got out.  Yes, in the middle of the drive up to The Miller Haus Bed and Breakfast, I stopped and snapped this picture……and simply gave thanks.  

    
Since I was out there with camera in hand, I caught a  wonderful sight that quickly translated into descriptive words that fit the moment.

Home, Family, Simplicity, Gratitude, Blessing…..to name a few.  
There is just something special about returning to the spirit of a simpler time, creating something that utilizes an uncomplicated technique,  that provides instant results and looks as though it is a remnant from the past.

With those thoughts fresh in my mind… 

I was inspired to create a special project and a tutorial  for you to enjoy.  
My prayer is that you will find blessing in the moment of creating it, maybe even learn something new, and may the finished project be a gentle reminder to, simply, Give Thanks.
